... new titles ... new challenges ... new rewards ...

Leanora, the central character, was placed in the nursing home by her daughter, Ruth six months ago. She has a strong personality and is out of place in this refined atmosphere. She has made herself unpopular and now moves are afoot to get her to leave.

She is terminally ill, and heavy doses of Morphine are clearly responsible for her sometimes irrational behaviour. However, in her fading world, there is still much lucidity.

Leanora seeks support from her family but there is a deep rift between her, and her daughter Ruth, and this has also affected her relationship with her granddaughter, Julie. Forced into a corner by all around her, Leanora decides it is time to reveal the 'truth' behind the rift.

Leanora - 80-85. A strong-willed lady, ex-solicitor, terminally ill and confined to a wheelchair
Miss Prentice - Middle-aged. Formal, straight-laced, the owner of the nursing home
Nurse - 20's. A bright, dedicated nurse with a wicked sense of humour
Ruth - Middle-aged, Leanora's daughter
Julie - 21, Ruth's daughter
