A bitter-sweet comedy looking at life through
the eyes of Annie Johnson. Married to Bill
for thirty-five years, the highlight of her
life is her weekly shop at Asda.
She has devoted her adult life to being a
wife and a mother, and then suddenly, after
his death she finds herself to be a woman
on her own. She realises that she has forgotten
how to be herself, forgotten her dreams and
mislaid her ambitions, but with help (or hindrance)
from her nosey next-door neighbour Hilary,
she starts to re-build her life.
Husband Bill, although gone, is not going
to let her get on with her life, without trying
to interfere for one last time. |
